Full review of the new Stark VARG Electric Motocross Bike. The VARG is being considered the best electric dirt bike of 2022, so we couldn't miss the opportunity to fly to Barcelona and do an official test ride on the bike. See our review article about the Stark VARG Electric Dirt Bike Here: https://bit.ly/StarkVargFirstRide Shop Aftermarket Parts Here: https://bit.ly/ECRParts ECR Instagram: https://bit.ly/ECRInstagram ECR Website: https://bit.ly/ECRWebsite ECR Marketplace: https://bit.ly/ECRMarketplace Stark Future claims that their electric motocross bike is the fastest on the market. After riding it, I have no reason to doubt that claim. While my test bike was still just the Standard 60hp version, it felt like it could out-accelerate any internal combustion bike I've ever ridden. Then, add another 20 horsepower and you get the Alpha model. To supply the energy to the powerful 50-100kW powerplant, the VARG features a massive 6kWh battery. The case itself is an air-cooled magnesium unit, which uses a proprietary honeycomb structure for increased strength and rigidity. This structure also allows Stark to connect every individual power cell directly to the case, which improves cooling and contributes further to an optimized center of gravity. Stark has made some very bold claims about the range of the VARG. They claim that their 6kWh battery, with its air-cooled honeycomb magnesium case, can provide similar range to a full tank of gas on a 450cc motocross bike. This would translate to, what Stark declares, a 35-minute moto at “Grand Prix” intensity or up to 6 hours of easy trail riding. We were unable to do a proper range test on the pre-production Stark VARG. The VARG features a VCU (Vehicle Control Unit) which is essentially a military-grade, shock resistant smartphone. The VCU allows riders to access an app that has over 100 personalized ride modes, each with its own input for power curve, engine braking, traction control, and a virtual flywheel. The bike utilizes a KYB fork and shock for its suspension with adjustability for high and low speed compression and rebound. The Stark VARG features a base MSRP of $12,900 for the 60HP version and $13,900 for the 80HP Alpha version. Riders can select a 19” rear wheel if they’re going the motocross route or an 18” if the bike will see more single-track than airtime.
