Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Nev-R-Lube Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly with the 6 on 5 1/2 inch bolt pattern, and it's for the 6,000 pound Dexter 42 millimeter Nev-R-Lube axles. Now, this trailer hub and drum assembly will provide the surface area for your brake shoes to grip when your brakes are activated. This hub and drum is compatible with both electric and hydraulic drum brakes, and as we mentioned, this assembly is designed to fit the 42 millimeter Nev-R-Lube axles, and the Nev-R-Lube axles are from Dexter, and it uses a sealed cartridge bearing system. Now, the Nev-R-Lube bearings will consist of imposed tapered roller bearing cones that are sealed inside of a one piece double cup arrangement, and these bearings are designed with a small amount of endplay in them, and this endplay is essential to the longevity of the bearing service life. The advantages of the Nev-R-Lube system, there's no need to pull your hubs to repack the bearings or replace the seals when you're checking the brakes. There's no more inner or outer bearings, we mentioned it's just a one sealed pre-lubricated cartridge that fits in there, and it has preset adjustment, which means installation's very easy, it is pre-lubricated from the factory, so it provides resistance to contamination, and they are sealed for life, which means increased durability and reliability and no more bearing maintenance. Now, this is a nice sturdy iron construction. This part will include everything I have laid out here on the table. It includes the hub and drum assembly with the pre-installed bearing cartridge in there, comes with the dust cap, comes with the large washer, the castle nut, the small snap break, and then six of the 1/2 inch by 20 size lug nuts for attaching the wheel to the hub and drum. Few specs on this again, the application is the 42 millimeter Nev-R-Lube axles, the drum dimension, the diameter is 12 inches, the width of it is two inches wide, bolt pattern, 6 on 5 1/2 inch bolt pattern, and the weight capacity on this one assembly is 3,000 pounds. So when this is used with one on the other side, it'll meet the 6,000 pound axle capacity.
