This knot can be used any time you need to connect two pieces of line together, including braid to monofilament or fluorocarbon line (including a leader to the main line), and this video will show you the tricks to tie it quickly and effectively! We will also go over one situation when you should not use this knot, so make sure you're not making that common mistake! This is one of the most widely used fishing knots which is easy/fast to tie and can be used to catch anything from rainbow trout, brown trout, brook trout, perch, panfish, bluegill, largemouth and smallmouth bass, northern pike, muskie, walleye, salmon, red snapper, grouper, tuna, cod, halibut, flounder, trigger fish, king or spanish mackerel, cobia, redfish, black drum... basically anything you catch with a hook can be caught using this knot!
