01 How to Build A 5 Gal Container for Garden

Container Gardening is becoming more popular lately. I saw a larger one and decided to incorporate the design in this 5 Gallon size design. The benefits I see are that they will: Require Less Water and may be left alone for several days (Vacation) They are portable so the best light can be easily searched out They can be placed on a porch, patio, or driveway The soil is guarded from insects from top and bottom The soil may be freshened up and re-used for several years They are easy and even Fun to make. (I have already given away several) How do they work? Place the soil in the top bucket. (I used regular name brand potting soil and mixed about 25% Peat Moss and a little per lite to loosen the soil) Use the tube to fill with water. you will see water leaking from the side when it is full I water a little from the top when the plants are small to get them started The water is pulled from the bottom bucket to water the plant, which makes a lot of since to me because this simulates normal growth. (Plants in the wild are watered from rain and from the ground) Now, How do they produce? I will see this year. So far I have two varieties of Bell Peppers planted in four buckets.
