A wide variety of inventions by young students, that uses artificial intelligence or coding, have been displayed at an exhibition in Korea. This air-freshener device gives off the aroma of lemon and the letter "Happy" pops up as the user smiles at the camera. When the user grimaces, the device emitted the fragrance of rosemary, that is known to help cheer up people. This AI-applied air-freshener can read eight universal facial impressions of people, giving off different aromas accordingly. [Seok Min-Cheol, high school freshman] "I study hard so I don't have much time for rest or healing. I've made this device to create a cozier and more refreshing environment for study." This is a machine to automatically sort out recyclable materials. The machine sorts out beverage cans and paper cups, and put them into the bins for recyclables. The device has been invented by a middle school student who was motivated after reading about environmental contamination. Highly creative items invented by some 10,000 students from elementary and secondary schools were exhibited during the event. The inventions also included uniquely reincarnated speakers and watches for which coding or 3D printing are used as a tool.
