Teaching my girlfriend to wrench on her miata

In this video I show my girlfriend how to do basic maintenance on her new miata. First we start off with the brakes and rotors. Taking off both wheels and replacing the rotors and pads on each side. After replacing them I then coated the calipers in high heat paint to prevent the rotors from getting rusty. Next we put in some raceland ultimo coilovers in the front to lower the car just a bit and have more comfort than the stock springs. Then the wheel bearing ended up going out a few weeks later so I decided to throw that in this video aswell. While we were in there again we chose to get some new upper control arms to freshen up the wheel wells and also make the new wheel bearings last longer due to the fact that the upper ball joints were trashed too. During some breaks we got the spark plugs gapped and replaced. Interesting enough all cylinders had the spark plugs gapped wrong in each one. Stock gap is 0.44 Lastly the valve cover gasket and CAS o ring was replaced as they were leaking aswell. And just as I thought we were done I had to go ahead and grab a new alternator from the parts store to replace that too because it ended up giving out recently. Now that all of this has been done to the car it has a full maintenance check and is all Healthy for now. The oil looked fine coming out no shavings, all fluids topped off, all front suspension and wheel bearings replaced. The car feels great and she’s happy to be driving her car again.
