STEP 2: Push and hold the Homelink button you would like to program while pushing your garage door opener at the same time. (Homelink LED lights in Mirror - If you have a home link LED house in your mirror, you only need to push it once. If the light or dot does not stay on, you will have to hold it down at the same time as well) This will take five seconds with most remotes. If you have a newer LED, it might take 20 seconds. If your garage door does not open, pair the unit to the garage by pushing the learn button in the garage door motor. You will have 30 seconds to return to your care to push the button. Hold your cars Homelink button for about two seconds. The garage door light will flicker. Push your button a second time and this will activate your door. Some garage door openers require three pushes of your button.
