Using temperature & light response curves to study blueberry/strawberry response to the environment

Presented by Josh Vander Weide, PhD | Michigan State University Light and temperature are well understood to modulate leaf gas exchange and fluorescence parameters across plant species. However, an understanding of the response of leaf photosynthetic characteristics to variable light and temperature conditions is lacking in berry crops such as blueberry and strawberry. I will discuss how my lab uses the CIRAS-4 and Handy PEA+ instruments to capture blueberry and strawberry leaf photosynthesis response to these factors in both field and controlled environment systems.
