I removed the furnace and made a skylight. This will make my kitchen not only bigger with more counter space, but brings in natural light to a previously dark corner of the kitchen. Which really shouldn't be so dark since the oven is right there. The oil heat system is easily replaced with baseboard heating and I will do a video about that too. The cost of installing and using the baseboard heaters is so much less than using oil heat that I don't need to bother calculating it. Replacing a furnace costs $3000 and then you need to order oil and have the tank maintained. I let someone come pick up the tank for free and was going to put a generator tank there but might wind up with a hot tub. Cost to install baseboard heating system is like $100 and I never need to buy or burn fuel.
