The royal wedding of Nawab of Kurnool Adnan Ul Mulk, son of Nawab Shahtaj Shaji Ul Mulk, to Nida Farooqui, daughter of Asif Farooqui, held at the luxurious Taj Lands End and Mumbai Grounds shook the wedding industry in India. The 4-day event hosted various Indian celebrities and business tycoons from all over the globe and was a spectacle by itself. Day 1 of the festivities kicked off with the Sufi night which was hosted by the glamorous Dia Mirza and Kanika Kapoor. The overall look and feel of the pre-function area and ballroom of Taj Lands End were altered to match the vibe of the event. Custom designed drapes and installations covered the walls to bring forth a hospitable yet intimate feeling while stepping into space. Day 2 followed a more relaxed environment with the Haldi ceremony in the morning. Dholki players kept the mood alive of all those attending the event while the family smeared the groom with Haldi (Turmeric Paste). The stage is set, the lights are dimmed, the artists are ready and the guests start entering the 20,500 sqft hanger on the evening of Day 2 to celebrate the Sangeet night. Everything in this space has been custom designed, from wall and ceiling paneling all the way to the finest details of table and glassware. The wall paneling had images of the great Nawabs of Kurnool and spanned all along the periphery of the hanger. Day 3 of the event was the big night, the Nikah Ceremony. The backdrop was a series of Mughal domes and cupolas in shades of white, off-white, gold and a touch of red to bring in the feeling of royalty. Large chandeliers and custom designed ceiling installations stood out this night amidst the elegant and subtle floral décor to complement the overall theme. Day 4 was the final night of the festivities ending with the Walima reception. The inspiration for this event was drawn from a fusion of contemporary design with an installation to break the monotony of the space, which consisted of over 2000 floating tubes highlighted using lights and gobos. The entire event followed a very minimalistic theme with the subtle use of colors. All the guests attending the 4-day event truly had an experience of a lifetime. The wedding will be remembered for years to come within the wedding industry and also by all the people who were a part of this event. A big shout out to everyone who made this dream turn into a reality and as the slogan for Eventchic Designs go, this is “where passion meets perfection”
