Today's daily update video from South Africa is from 12 April 2025. In this video, we begin with a fire at Durban in South Africa today. The Vaal Dam water level is at 115% today, and water is released through five sluices. It is causing flooding downstream around the Christiana and Bloemhof Dam. The Gariep Dam is overflowing its wall after it reached water levels above 100% yesterday. In today's video, we also show a sunny day around Umdloti Beach and Port Shepstone. Next, we camp at the Twee Rivieren Rest Camp in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Camp. A big herd of buffalo was standing in the road at the Kruger National Park near the Letaba Rest Camp. A lovely day at the Fluistering Beach in St. Helena Bay in the Western Cape Province of South Africa. Here's a short weather forecast for South Africa today: Good day, South Africa! Today, much of the stormy weather is tapering off as an onshore flow introduces isolated showers and a drop in temperatures across KwaZulu-Natal Province, Mpumalanga Province, and Limpopo Province. Tomorrow's forecast indicates warmer conditions in the western regions of South Africa, while the far north will experience cooler temperatures. Additionally, there is a chance of light rain in KwaZulu-Natal Province in the morning, with the potential for these showers to extend into Limpopo Province by evening.
