Elephant attack in Kerala India I an elephant was caught running amok on the streets of Kongad, Palakkad, in Kerala. How much damage can a single elephant do? Trust us, you do not want to know the answer to that. In yet another case of an elephant running amok in Kerala, a single angry elephant ended up completely demolishing a series of modes of transport. The incident reportedly took place in Kongad, Palakkad district of Kerala. Interestingly, the elephant first attacked a motorbike, followed by an three-wheeler autorickshaw and then a tempo truck — going from two-wheelers and working its way up to four-wheelers. The incident seems to have happened around February 25, which was when a video capturing the elephant on a demolition mission was uploaded, which has subsequently gone viral. Initially, the elephant was tethered to something, but it manages to break free, thus scaring the people around. Two mahouts on the elephant try and calm the creature down, but to little avail. This is not the first such incident caught on camera, let alone the countless others that don’t get captured. Previously a wild elephant had run amok in Puthiyapalam, Kozhikode, in January. There was also a similar case in Siliguri, West Bengal, earlier this month as well. Such cases of elephants losing their temper and going on a rampage on the streets of Kerala, and other parts of the country too, is quite common and locals have been complaining about such incidents for quite a while.
