Trump is preparing to issue an executive order that would punish online social media companies for regulating free speech on their platforms. This comes just two days after Twitter flagged two of the president’s tweets about mail-voting as having ‘potentially misleading information about voting processes,’ marking the first time the social media company has interfered with one of his tweets. A draft of the order reviewed by CNN states that ‘we cannot allow a limited number of online platforms to hand-pick the speech that Americans may access and convey online.
