For a lot of people watching this, Bélanger Street is just another road in Montreal. But for someone like me, it takes me back to traveling around the East End of the island as a kid. We start off walking along Langelier Blvd within the Mercier West district (formerly known as Longue-Pointe, if you're keeping track of the old names), before making our way into Saint-Leonard and then go westward along Bélanger while I recap some stories of me as a kid. Unlike the center of Montreal, this part felt a lot more suburban in vibe. So we did not come across the same types of bars and cafes I like to showcase on the channel. There were plenty of Italian style bars along the way, where you could either grab draft Molson or an espresso depending on your mood. It was an appropriate theme for an episode that would drop on March 21st, seeing how it is around that time I pay tribute to my dad. Drives to Saint-Leonard to visit my grandparents in an old American car while listening to the oldies station will always give me nostalgic vibes. Thanks for watching this latest episode!
