It seems Half-abandoned off the Highway to the Grand Canyon, The roofs leak, the paint is peeling, the owner is nearing 80 and the land is for sale, but the Flinstones home town is still here! To get to the Grand Canyon from LA you have the opportunity to ride on old portions of Route 66 and see the original cars land inspiration, Seligman Arizona, and the branch of 66 cut off by the interstate. But once you split of from 66 and head north from Williams, bedrock city is there to meet you. We did all this in less than 24 hours after leaving the Disneyland area, so if you have an extra day or two to spare on a so cal vacation, or are looking for weekend trips away from LA with the family, this is definitely a great Randomland style adventure!
