My review of the HP Color LaserJet PRO MPF 3301sdw laser printer

Hello, my name is Kristian Naugle and I'm a shred guitarist who recently purchased this HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301sdw printer. It's the second time I've bought a laser printer but it's my first time using a color laser printer. This model of printer was not marketed as a photo printer, but it does a very good job at printing photos because it's such a good printer. It costs $450 and was definitely worth the money. It's great for frequent use of printing pictures or text documents because it's economical to operate, and it blends colors very well for good photo quality. I use 110 pound card stock when printing pictures, and I really enjoy the results. I do not use photo paper in this printer because the card stock gives me the results I want to have for photos. Laser printers print your pictures differently since there is no wetness of ink to worry about. Laser printers use toner instead of ink, and it is a powder made from plastic. The laser printer melts or "fuses" the toner powder to the paper to give a surface texture similar to semi-gloss photo paper. Laser printers are very high quality printers and are better for times when you go long periods of time without printing because the toner cartridge will not go bad quickly like an inkjet cartridge, since toner cartridges are manufactured to be a dry powder. Laser printers cost more, but print very fast, print very well, and can be economical to own.
