“Will the Circle Be Unbroken” performed by SoCo Women’s Chorus, recorded live at our concert “Americana: The Story of Our Roots” in Austin, Texas – May 2025. 📖 Program Notes: “Will the Circle Be Unbroken”, written in 1907 and made famous by The Carter Family in the 1930s, became known as country music's "national anthem." It was popular during the Great Depression and also sung during the Civil Rights Movement. This arrangement blends two styles: the bluegrass trio and gospel quartet. Traditional Appalachian, arr. J.
