This is a beautiful love song about broken relationships written by Justin Furstenfeld and Matt Noveskey of Blue October. It has been said that this song was initially hammered out in the daylight hours at a rented motel room during the middle of touring. Both of them were experiencing some challenges (and hopefulness) in their personal relationships at the time, which they channeled into these lyrics as artists. It’s an example of romantic art rock at its finest. Thanks for watching and subscribing! 💙 There’s more to come from these concerts in Cabo and Austin, TX! #BlueOctober #songwriters #livemusic Fall tour is also starting up, so be sure to get your tickets at BlueOctober.com! 💫 LYRICS to “The Weatherman” We forgot how to communicate Sometimes I watch you fall And I just walk away What is that bullshit, why do I do that? Why can't this dark cloud go away? We don't talk anymore And the weatherman said That the storm will clear The one that's been here for years Maybe, just maybe, this time he'll be right Before the pictures are gone You're right, I'm wrong Before you leave us behind This is wrong, 'cause we're right We're right on the edge of a blue sky We're on the edge of a blue sky Like a dark red rose left in the parking lot I'll sitting here choking on words I should have never thought I know I just tore you down And my words will come back around just like that Just like that honeymoon I promised you, but you never got And the weatherman said That the storm will clear Yeah, this is our year Maybe, just maybe, this time he'll be right Before the pictures are gone You're right, I'm wrong Before you leave us behind This is wrong, 'cause we're right We're right on the edge of a blue sky We're on the edge of a blue sky And the weatherman said That the storm's gonna clear Yeah, this is our year Baby, I'm ready to believe that he's right Oh, be right Before the pictures are gone You're right, I'm wrong Before you leave us behind This is wrong, 'cause we're right We're right on the edge of a blue sky We're on the edge of a blue sky, yeah Blue sky (oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh) Blue sky (oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh) Blue sky Blue sky
