We all have a pair of those jeans that you wear till they full apart but you continue to wear them because they are so comfy. Well I have a pair of those jeans that I wasn't quite ready to get rid of. I also had a pair of Dr Marten rigger boots that on the surface looked perfectly fine. But on the inside the steel toe cap had shifted and made them uncomfortable to wear. They had lasted well at 5 years old! I decided to cut the boots up and make knee patches from them. The boots being riggers had padding for ankle support, so I kept the padding in there to act as kneeling pads. The project was fun and it was good to see how good quality boots are put together.
