Here's a mixed bag of SD Jones matches to compliment his first tribute here on the Job Guy channel. This video includes the first installment of "Mario's Memories" - a few words about the wrestler being featured from someone who shared a locker room with him. 1) Mario's Memories 2) Ken Resnick interview w/George "The Animal" Steele 3) vs. Jesse Ventura 4) vs. “Cowboy” Bob Orton 5) vs. Sika 6) vs. Ted Dibiase 7) w/Billy-Jack Haynes & Hillbilly Jim vs. Bob Orton, Don Muraco & Mike Sharpe About the term "Jobber": Unless they’re related to the promoter, nearly every wrestler spends some time doing jobs (losing most or all matches). Sometimes a wrestler will do jobs because they’re new to the business and sometimes they had been on the winning end for a time, then spent some time making newer stars look good. Often due to nothing more than bad fortune, some talented, capable wrestlers never see a successful period in a major promotion. When they have more class than ego, some “jobbers” will work for years making the top stars look good. As a fan, I’ve always thought the underdogs of wrestling were/are under-appreciated. I use the term “jobber” because it’s the search word most fans would use when looking for the less-discussed workers of the past. They did what they were booked and paid to do and they deserve our respect. Without someone losing a match, there would be no winners in pro wrestling.
