The showers are on their way out of the valley this afternoon, but some snow is still possible for the higher elevations of the Sierra Mountains. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect through midnight for elevations at or above 6500ft. About 3-6 inches of snow are possible. Another thing to remember for this evening is the end of daylight saving! We will gain an hour of sleep, make sure to set your clocks back this evening! This time of year is also good to check/replace the smoke detector batteries. For the weather, the showers are done for the weekend, so if you want to get outside and enjoy the sunshine, Sunday will be your day! A few clouds could linger in the morning, but give way to a mostly sunny sky with temperatures reaching the lower 60s for a high. This nice weather will be short lived as a more robust system moves into the area on Monday. We will see increasing clouds throughout the day with the rain, wind, and mountain snow arriving Monday night. The rain and Wind will stick around into the day on Tuesday, giving way to showers as the day progresses. This system will also bring with it cooler temperatures with highs in the mid-50s. The rest of the week looks pretty good, temperatures returning to normal, around 70 by Friday with a generally partly cloudy to mostly sunny sky to close the workweek.
