Sergej Krylov is a violin virtuoso, winner of prestigious competitions. He plays with celebrated musicians such as Mikhail Pletnev, Boris Berezovsky, Valery Gergiev, Denis Matsuev, Dmitry Kitayenko, and many others. Many years ago Mstislav Rostropovich said of Sergej : "I was amazed by the quality of this remarkable violinist whom I consider to be one of the five best contemporary violinists in the world." He is the artistic director and conductor of the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra. This year the Orchestra celebrates its 60th anniversary. Mikhail Pletnev is an old friend and colleague of Sergej's who often entrusts him with his orchestra. Such trust is very valuable and speaks a lot! He is a jury member of competitions such as the Paganini Competition in Genoa, the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow and many others. Sergej is also a wonderful ensemble player and a very good person!
