A winter walk through the Highland town of Dingwall in the north of Scotland, exploring its High Street, football stadium (Global Energy Stadium / Victoria Park), and other points of interest. Dingwall is home to the Scottish Premiership football team, Ross County, and lies right at the start of the famous North Coast 500 (NC500) route. The snow covered hills seen from the town were beautiful! Dingwall is a town and a royal burgh in the Highland council area of Scotland, just 11 miles from Inverness and very close to Loch Ness. It has a population of 5,491. It was an east-coast harbour that now lies inland. Dingwall Castle was once the biggest castle north of Stirling. On the town's present-day outskirts lies Tulloch Castle, parts of which may date back to the 12th century. In 1411 the Battle of Dingwall is said to have taken place between the Clan Mackay and the Clan Donald. Join this channel to buy me a coffee and support my work: / @virtualscotland
