On 26 August 2025, University College Cork’s Sustainability Institute hosted a unique one-day international workshop titled “Where Art and Science Meet: Experience Sharing from Ocean to Land”. Supported by Shift Cost Action and the TIDAL ArtS project, this event was designed to inspire attendees through real-world examples of how artistic and scientific practices can intersect and collaborate. The workshop welcomed international speakers from Hungary, Italy, Portugal (Azores), and Finland who share their experience regarding art-based residencies. Attila Toth from Hungary shared their experiences collaborating with creatives and artists. Benedetta D'Ettorre from Italy brought the Case of TBA21 and TBA21-Academy, Jesse James from Portugal joined us online and shared various practices and festivals as well as the underlying philosophy behind the ongoing collaborations merging art&science: Taru Elfving from Finland brought her presentation regarding the Site-Sensitive Residencies on the Shifting Shorelines
