Jace Mankins: Reflection for String Quartet

Reflection is one of the last pieces I wrote while attending the Manhattan School of Music studying under Dr. J. Mark Stambaugh. I consider it a technical achievement in several ways, but most notably in form where I am able to contrast sections to a high degree of discomfort. The work is titled "Reflection" because it is about reflecting on the past, and the indifference of the world that exists outside one's own introspection. This ended up being quite a difficult piece to get performed, so I used NotePerformer to create the audio. Thank you so much for listening!
