My One-Year Video Diary of My Upper and Lower Eyelid Surgery

This is the short version of the original video which lasts almost 50 minutes long. I tried uploading the long version but for some reason it is not allowing me to save changes in the description box. This shorter video starts with my pre-surgery look band shows my progress on days 1, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, 51, 100, 342, and 365 (July 28, 2022). In early summer of 2021, I decided to have eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) to have the eyebags removed from my lower eyelids. When I had my initial consultation with my plastic surgeon, he also recommended that I have my hooded upper eyelids lifted. Initially, I was hesitant about this, but he convinced me to have them fixed anyway. He also said that virtually all of his clients have had their upper and lower eyelids fixed at the same time. I don't necessarily consider myself a vain person, but I firmly believe in taking care of myself since I was a teenager. I am now 61 and I am seeing the ravages of time - fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots. I don't have any intention of looking 30 years younger, however, I just want to look better for my age. One day when I looked in the mirror, I realized that my eye bags have gotten more pronounced and they made me look much older. I started using all sorts of eye cream and eye serum that promised to diminish the eye bags, but it was just a temporary fix. I used these products for several years but none of them did exactly what they had promised. Then I started to do some research about eyelid surgery, watched videos of people who had subjected themselves to the surgery and their before and after video diaries. I said to myself, "This doesn't look too bad. I think I'll try it." After finding a nearby surgeon with a good reputation and who offered a reasonable price for the procedure, I had my first blepharoplasty on July 28, 2021. The video is a testimony of my recovery from the surgery.
