In an effort to improve accesibility to Mexico City for the locals and to improve their safety, the TELEFERICO MEXICABLE ECATEPEC was introduced in 2016, a Cable Car system travelling for 3 miles through 7 stations from Santa Clara to La Canada. If you're looking for Things to Do in Mexico City that is very much off the beaten track, you can head to Santa Clara Mexicable Station by catching the subway to Indios Verdes and getting a bus from there. Alternatively, as I did, you can walk from Ciudad Azteca, but be warned, this can be known as a dangerous area.
