Our instagram: / slavique_channel Patreon for support: patreon.com/SlaviqueOfficial Welcome to the third part of our deep dive into Slavic mythology and folklore. This video continues our exploration of ancient legends and terrifying creatures that have haunted the imagination of Eastern Europe for centuries. If you haven’t seen parts one and two yet, you can find them on our channel, where we uncover more dark myths and forgotten beings. Marena, the goddess of winter and death, brings frost, illness, and decay. Her icy touch symbolizes the inevitable end, but also the rebirth of life when winter gives way to spring. Veštica, a malevolent Slavic witch, is a shapeshifter who kidnaps children, curses crops, and spreads disease. The Wawel Dragon, a legendary beast from Polish folklore, once terrorized Kraków until it was defeated through wit rather than strength. The Firebird, one of the most beautiful and mysterious creatures of Slavic legends, glows with living fire and brings either misfortune or unimaginable luck to those who encounter her. Gamayun, the prophetic bird, knows the secrets of gods and mortals alike, her songs revealing fate itself while driving listeners to madness. Mara, a night spirit, brings nightmares and suffocates her victims in their sleep, feeding on their fear. Polevik, the ancient field spirit, can protect the land or lead travelers astray, depending on how humans treat the earth. Finally, Zherdyai, one of the most unsettling beings in Slavic folklore, is a tall, thin night spirit who stalks travelers through forests and swamps, driving them to panic and madness. This video is part of our ongoing series on Slavic mythology, where we explore the ancient beliefs, creatures, and rituals that shaped the worldview of our ancestors. These stories connect us to a time when people saw the world as a place of powerful spirits, divine forces, and ever-present danger. If you are fascinated by history, folklore, and mysterious legends, make sure to watch until the end, as the last monster will definitely surprise you. Subscribe to our channel for future videos and turn on notifications so you do not miss the next part of our series.
