Arianespace VS21 Soyuz OneWeb Launch

The first six OneWeb satellites launched aboard an Arianespace Soyuz rocket on February 28, 2019. The Soyuz rocket lifted off from the Guiana Space Center at 21:37 UTC (18:37 local time). Approximately one hour after liftoff, the first two OneWeb F6 satellites were deployed into a low Earth orbit. 20 minutes and ACS boost ignition later, the remaining four OneWeb F6 satellites separated from the rocket’s upper stage. The six OneWeb F6 satellites launched on February 28 were the first of a 900-satellite constellation. Once complete, the constellation will provide global high-speed internet coverage.
