Had a great night’s sleep in Tillamook. Didn’t realize it was known for it’s cheese and ice cream. I’m here to look at the dirigible hanger that once housed the US Navy’s blimps. It is huge. I got spoiled in London going to the major air museum there with a huge collection of WWI and WWII planes and displays and I’m not expecting the same thing but I had a very enjoyable hour looking at the planes they had. Unfortunately, no big blimps. The rest of the morning was a pleasant ride through farm country and along the coast. It’s going to be a long ride day, so I am going to break the day into two parts.
