CASS scholar Xu Xiujun on three distinctive features in Kishore Mahbubani's "The Asian 21st Century"

On Tuesday Jan. 11, 2022, the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) held a seminar featuring renowned diplomat-turned-scholar Kishore Mahbubani to release his new book "The Asian 21st Century", as part of CCG’s “China and Globalization” series in partnership with Springer Nature. The book explores a host of topics centered around the trends of a returned Asia in the context of the US-China rivalry and shifts in the development of globalization, and discusses a number of key issues such as what the Asian 21st century means for China, a country locked in complicated past and present power dynamics in the region. Mr. Xu Xiujun, Deputy Director of International Political Economy Division at Institute of World Economics and Politics (IWEP), Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), appreciated the key insights Prof. Mahbubani presents in his new book, especially the concepts like the end of the West domination.
