Waking up to Sunrise, in the Priests Hole Cave, Dove Crag - wild camping

Watching the sunrise from my sleeping bag, after our overnight stay in the Priests Hole Cave, Cumbria ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- We stayed there 1st June. My pointers would be, take midge spray, they are extremely irritating! :) As for getting there, we parked overnight in at the Brothers Water Inn/Sykeside Camping, for £2.50. Walked up from there to Dove Crag. You actually see the cave from the car park of the pub if you know what you're looking for. As you get nearer, and the ascent gets considerably steeper, you can clearly see the dark, horizontal slit of the cave to your left, up in the crag. When the steps finish and the ground levels and opens out, there is a very obvious lonely, big rock. At this point bear left and head for where you think the cave is (take a bearing if you can?) There is a path but it's nothing like you've just left. Just keep scrambling up and a more civilised path appears. This leads to the cave. Plenty of room for 2 people, bit of a squeeze for 6 + a dog :) And in the morning, the Brothers Water Inn do a DELICIOUS full English breakfast from 8am until 9:30am, for £7.50. Not only do you get a fry-up, but you help yourself to cereal, hot drinks, juice and fruit too. Good luck!
