The Great Rift Valley Challenge 2021 (Part 1) Drop Them Like Flies

The action starts early. King Paul from Uganda makes a solo breakaway. Langat seems to be struggling but is he really? He lurks behind and then comes back to hammer a monstrous pace that attempts to drop all the flies threatening the Kenyan riders domination. Salim wears a different kit (BikeAID) while the rest of KR wears their green army uniform. Although he works in this race with the Kenyan riders team, he single handedly makes powerful attacks. The strong peloton, including his team mates hang on in silence for dear life. There's a sprint section just before a long hill and only Mwangi trusts his legs to go for it. Bobby and Joseph (Safari Simbaz) start to re-evaluate their preparedness, the peloton is doing an FTP test!! 🥵 The pace, the heat, the altitude, the steep climbs and the risky descents! This is not going to be easy! Cate starts strong, displays her power and determination but relies on her own power more than drafting and wears herself.
