My friend wanted to try Solo Backcountry Camping but was nervous to venture out on her own. She's been backcountry hiking before but never alone. So I dropped her off at the trailhead and headed out on my canoe so I'd be close by in case she ran into trouble. Well, in the hot dog days of summer there ended up being no sites available (non-operating provincial parks are first come first serve) so I picked her up and we found a paddle in site.
