For those of you that may have missed it, check out the first dyno video of the 393ci 1988 Fox Body Mustang. We chased some intermittent problems for well over a year, and finally buckled down to get them figured out. For those of us that know, Fox Mustangs (any old car for that matter) like to pose problems from time to time. For us, Dragula had some popping and banging from the exhaust and a sporadic lean condition that needed to be sorted. Well, a new distributor easily fixed the popping and banging, but lean conditions can be touchy subjects. Having already addressed the calibration multiple times, we turned our attention to the fuel tank since that was the only component that wasn't replaced whenever all the other work was done. It just happened that a piece of debris worked its way into the tube that supplies the sump with fuel. A new tank fixed the issue. Talk about crazy! We're no strangers to this kind of problem though. Back in 2017, we installed a Vortech V3 supercharger onto a '93 LX hatch that also had a fueling problem. Turned out, a butt connector had worked its way into the supply line on the fuel pump bracket. You really can't make this stuff up!
