The MRC Holland Foundation was founded with the aim to contribute to the development of a better world. For this reason, the foundation's current primary focus is improving the educational facilities and resources in The Gambia, with special attention to the more rural areas of the country. If you walk into a classroom of a government school, there is a 30% chance that that classroom was built by the MRC Holland Foundation. We are a Dutch foundation, that is solely funded by donations of the genetic testing company MRC Holland. We believe that education can help eradicate poverty. A better education can open doors to jobs, resources and skills, which can help a person thrive. Our goal is to provide every child in The Gambia with good educational possibilities.
