Hi Guys!!! In this video, you will see one of my best kept secrets about engraving pictures in wood, on this video we are using bamboo cutting boards but it works pretty much in any type of wood, finished wood and even unfinished wood, just be careful when working unfinished wood. You will see that the best results are achieved by giving 2 passes, the first one will remove the lacquer and will create a lot of ashes on top of the engraved area while the second pass will define the contrast and fixes the ashes against the wood again, lastly the water will dissolve the ashes and the stain penetrate the wood staining it permanently.
