The handle is slightly raised upward so your knuckles don’t touch the surface. The side cutouts are also there to support a pinch grip. I also tried to make fairly high grinds. I removed the hump on the spine since there’s no longer a need for a thumb stud or opening hole there. there are jimpings for different grip positions. I made the handle as a single piece simply because I’m not interested in doing things the same way everyone else does ;) And I think it will feel nicer in hand this way.
