This live stand up comedy album is a digital copy of Side 1 from "Looking Good, a vintage vinyl comedy record by Freddie Prinze. This promotional vintage vinyl album includes highlights from the full length "Looking Good" album and was sent to radio stations to promote Freddie Prinze and his stand up comedy. Freddie Prinze's album "Looking Good" was recorded in 1975 at a club called Mr. Kelly's in Chicago. Side 2:    • Видео   Although he got his start in New York City (after dropping out of high school to do stand up at the Improv and Catch a Rising Star) Freddie Prinze was discovered at the Comedy Store where he regularly introduced himself to audiences as a "Hunga-rican" (part Hungarian, part Puerto Rican). The Comedy Store is a comedy club on the Sunset strip in LA and is world famous for launching comedy careers. The Comedy Store stage has seen everyone from Richard Pryor and George Carlin to Robin Williams and Jim Carey. The Comedy Store was operated by Mitzi Shore (Paulie Shore's mother) who is the inspiration behind the character "Goldie" from the Showtime original series "I'm Dying Up Here" which focuses on stand up comedy in the 1970's in LA. One reason the Comedy Store became the middle of the stand up comedy universe was because it was a direct stepping stone to the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. Freddie Prinze was discovered at the Comedy Store and made his first appearance on the Tonight Show in 1973. He would appear on the Tonight Show several more times as well as guest host. His work on the Tonight Show led to his casting on the hit TV show "Chico and the Man" which launched Freddie Prinze to superstardom. From September 1974 until 1977, Prinze starred as Francisco "Chico" Rodriguez in the NBC TV series Chico and the Man with Jack Albertson. The show was an instant hit. Prinze made several appearances on The Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts, most notably the roasts for Sammy Davis Jr. and Muhammad Ali. In 1975, About four months before his death, Prinze had signed a five-year deal with NBC worth $6 million. Freddie Prinze suffered from depression, and shot himself in the head on January 28th 1977. He died in the hospital the next day at the way-too-young age of 22. The Bixbie Media YouTube channel is an excellent source for comedy.
