On August 4, 2025, Shri P. A. Murali (Administrator, Shri Sringeri Math) filed a complaint at Vasant Kunj North police station. The complaint alleged that Chaitanyanand Saraswati, also known as Parth Sarathi, sexually harassed female students studying under the EWS scholarship at Shri Sharda Institute of Indian Management. During the police investigation, statements of 32 students were recorded, of which 17 alleged unwanted physical contact, obscene messages, and abusive language. It also emerged that some female faculty/administrators at the institute pressured students to comply with the accused’s demands. An FIR was registered under IPC Sections 75(2)/79/351(2). Multiple raids were conducted, and CCTV footage was analyzed. Hard disks and records seized from the institute were sent for forensic examination. Statements of 16 victims were recorded in court.
