Besides our contribution to the local economy thanks to the employment we create, we aim to increase the consumption of poultry, which is an economic and healthful source of protein, produced in an hygienic environment by use of advanced technology for consumer safety purposes. Gedik Piliç offers both good taste and naturalness processing 300 thousand tons of chicken annually in its fully-integrated plants established on an area of 146 thousand 725 square meters. With the state-of-the-art technology feed mill, breeding units, hatcheries and slaughterhouses, Gedik Piliç has an operation system meeting all high quality standards and complying with the European standards. Gedik Piliç, which is one of the leading industrial enterprises of Turkey, achieved a turnover of 1 billion TL through its experienced and dynamic staff of 2 thousand people as of the end of 2018 With each investment made by it, Gedik Piliç builds taste guaranteeing that each chicken is grown up in a healthy and natural way. Feed mill – In Gedik Piliç’s feed mill, healthy and natural feed checked by our veterinarians are prepared for breeding breeder hens and broiler chicken Breeding Plant – Hatching eggs from about 385 thousand breeding hen are all checked for health by our in-house veterinarians in hygienic environments where all bio-technical measure have been taken. The hatching eggs having passed the checks are sent to the hatchery by dedicated vehicles under hygienic conditions. Hatchery – Once transferred to the hatchery, hatching eggs are placed in incubator upon selection and disinfection. During the incubation period of 21 days, eggs are all checked by the cutting edge systems and the broiler chickens hatched upon completion of incubation period are sent to the breeding cages after being checked for health by our veterinarians. Breeding plant –broiler chickens taken to breeding cages are continuously protected through ventilation pipe, tunnel fans, coolers and gas radiant heaters. Chickens are also continuously checked for their development and health status. Broiler chickens are fed with healthy and natural feed to ensure them to grow in the most healthy way possible. In the end of a period of 40 days, the broiler chickens that reach to the desired live weight are checked by our veterinarians prior to the slaughter and tested by the experts in our laboratories. Processing and production plant – the broiler chickens passing the checks and tests are sent to the slaughterhouse established on an area of 17 thousand square meters. The chickens are halal slaughtered and processed based on the principle of 100% hygiene at every stage of processing and production. After slaughtering, the body temperature of the products is reduced to 2C while proceeding on the cooling line of 6 thousand square meters. In the end of this step of 3 hours, products are directed and classified by weight and quality untouched by human hands. The chicken having been slaughtered, plucked and eviscerated are processed under the supervision of our engineers and veterinarians in every step on the production line. On the production line, the chickens are sorted as whole chicken, chicken parts, further-processed product and byproduct. The further-processed product plant - In an area of 9 thousand square meters, all steps of processing are supervised by our food engineers to guarantee the health and taste of the products using the cutting edge technology. Gedik Piliç prepares and offers a great variety of further-processed and delicatessen products including nugget schnitzel, cordon bleu, finger chicken ball to consumers. In the final stage of the production line, products are packaged and labeled under fully hygienic conditions. The completely processed products are sent to the cold stores for resting. In the end of the production, all units and equipment are washed, disinfected and prepared for the next production cycle. As the first poultry brand that comes to mind if the health, naturalness and good taste are in question, Gedik Piliç takes the justified proud of being the first steering the future through the innovations introduced by it.
