Just finished repair of a Mesa Boogie F-50 (2 channels - 50W - 2x6L6GC) and I couldn't wait to test it. Long story short...worn preamp tubes, shorted power tubes, some diodes "backing" the PCB and a lot of problematic electrolytics (at the channel switching circuit). Replaced all faulty parts, replaced electrolytics with Nichicon, uplifted diodes and finally modified a new 3-button footswitch in order to accommodate the footswitch function of the amp (original footswitch long gone). This amp is not made for my style of playing (I am more into blues rock and this is an amp with definately a metal character) ) but I tried to show most of the sounds you can get from the amp - from crispy clean to heavy distorted riffs and solos. Enjoy and PLAY LOUD!! (NO PEDALS of course) Gear/recording: Rythm guitar: 2005 Gibson SG Special Lead guitar: my heavily modded 1989 Fender Stratocaster Plus Deluxe (pups: neck - Gibson Firebird mini humbucker / middle - SD lipstick RWRP / bridge - SD STK-T2B hot T-stack Bass: Fender Highway 1 straight to the Lexicon i-onix u82s Drums: all drums from / @lumbeat Recorded with Shure SM-57 and Lexicon i-onix u82s
