"Mostly my life has just been dumb....." BACKSTORY: A few years ago I made this music video for rock band & local legends Manhattan Murder Mystery. At the time I had a bad habit of approaching bands I thought were cool and offering to make cheap music videos for them which, in turn, would take me way too long to make & drive me further into insanity. I thought their song Dumb would go perfectly with this simple video idea I had. What was my simple video idea you ask? Well, to merely tell the story of humanity from The Big Bang up until today of course. Sounds easy, right? Wrong. This simple idea ended up consuming about 9 months of my life and editing time. I don't know why the fuck I thought it would be easy, it's the entire history of the Universe for fuck's sake! Luckily I think it turned out pretty awesome and I'm really proud of the video. I get a very calming sense of existential optimism every time I watch it. When it came out not many people saw it (hence this re-post) however I've had several people tell me it's their "FAVORITE MUSIC VIDEO OF ALL TIME(!)". And I don't give a fuck if I'm friends with all the people who told me that, but hearing that made the whole 9 months editing in my garage totally worth it. Enjoy!
