6 Euros on ebay, arrived in three days, it works, at least MIDI OUT. CLAUDIA-SEQ24 works, it sends midi out to DOREMI and ear sound from my connected OP-1- I'm trying to engage with the Cardinal Community on Libera IRC right now... https://cardinal.kx.studio/ I'm using a Raspberry Pi5 with Raspian OS and the DISTHRO repo. NO Windows. Raspi OS is a Debian fork. DOREMI is a Chinese brand and it is USB class compliant MIDI device. Cardinal Midi OUT have some problems, I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but it just don't output any midi. I Don't think it's a MIDI device problem I I could use a Roland Audio card with Midi if I wish). The problem is most likely with the Raspberry Pi5 new architecture and Cardinal is an OPEN SOURCE PROJECT, unlike VCV RACK, wich you have to pay PRO VERSION to activate MIDI OUT, but IT WONT RUN ON RASPBERRY Pi! Cadence and Carla can workout some thing about midi out Raspberry limitations, so using CARDINAL as a CLAP plugin maybe??? It's NOT EASY FOLKS... any idea welcome! PS: I'm calling it VCV rack but it is CARDINAL STANDALONE all the way. PPS: Cadence and Catia are also installed. SEq24 is being launched as a DAW inside CLAUDIA, and DOREMIDI Midi OUT LED is flashing. I know this test works so the USb-midi interface is working correctly. Claudia can not launch Cardinal as a DAW like SEQ24 also... If using the Claudia rack, Cardinal can be launched but I fail to open its GUI... and to a first test it seems to not being able to output Midi anyway using the internal Midi virtual keyboard. Claudia Studio however can also be used to launch DAWS and SYNTHS.. Like LMMS--- and SEQ24... so maybe, inside LLMS DAW it could work??? More tests are needed... Raspian however is very picky when allowing MIDI OUT... this is not new...
