There, he formed a choir with the staff members, called the 'Medic Melodies' - L.U.T.H Crusade Choir. The band's debut album, The Challenge of Our Time, was released in 1968. Following the unprecedented success of the 500-copy release, the band was quickly pushed to make another one. And so came, Medic Melodies. Gani was infatuated with the word, "Challenge." It described not only his struggles as a blind man who was at times slighted in the workplace, but there was also a challenge to win souls for Christ. Thus came the Challenge Records. The Challenge of Our Time was CHLP1. This, Medic Melodies, is CHLP2. Note: the big "2" on the cover has to do with this label code. There is no 'Medic Melodies 1.' In 1973, after 6 years of fellowship and ministration with his brethren, Gani left for Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital in Zaria.
