This week on CALI CULTURE PODCAST, hosted by Jeremy Preston, our guest is Mariana Oldenburg! Mariana was born in the Republic of Panama. Her family moved to San Diego, CA as a military family when she was fifteen years old. There she attended middle school, high school and San Diego State University where she studied Art with emphasis is graphic design. Mariana spent most of her professional life in Northern California working full time as Art Director for leading publishing companies. She later moved New Orleans, LA where she worked as a freelance graphic designer while raising her two sons. After visiting her mother in Cali, Colombia, she fell in love with the city, the river and the jovial nature of the Caleños and made the determination to be closer to her 90 year old mother and her sister. In June 2025 she and her dog Renzo made the big move to Cali where she is currently working on several projects.
