I set out with the goal of capturing as much raw footage from tonight’s George Floyd protests as possible. No commentary, no interruptions, just uncut footage from the events of May 30th, 2020. Unless you were here, it’s nearly impossible to understand what it’s like to have this happen in your neighborhood. Sadly, it’s happening in neighborhoods in major cities all across the country. George Floyd was murdered at the hands of police. The United States is in pain. And although the loss of George Floyd is a tragedy for human and civil rights, seeing our communities pulled apart at the seams is just as painful. It’s a difficult time. My thoughts go out to all affected, including the victims of racial crimes and police violence, protesters fighting for their rights, and first responders protecting our communities during this chaos.
