Amazon Affiliate Link: https://amzn.to/3TF7VUf Price as reviewed: $41 Tripod Head Leveling Base Camera Leveler, Aircraft Grade Aluminum Alloy 3 Axis Tri Wheel Head, 3/8” Thread, with +/-5 Degree Precision Adjustment for DSLR Camera Rotator Panoramic Head LP-64 I've see the same product sold under other brand names (some of which may be slightly cheaper). (e.g. here is another option: https://amzn.to/3J03kqR ) This 3-axis leveling head works very well. It has smaller locking wheels that keep it from shifting after you dial in the level, but for light loads I haven't found I needed to set them up against the top plate and just the friction on the larger adjustment knobs kept things perfectly steady. It takes longer to adjust than a ball head, but you can dial in the level extremely accurately (I'm able to make 1/10th of a degree adjustments). The construction is solid, with aluminum and what appears to be stainless steel hardware throughout. It has two levels in the X and Y dimension visible on the side, plus a bubble level visible from the top if you don't have something mounted on top of it. I've used this to make sure my smart telescope is perfectly level, which helps it to find the moon in the day when it can't plate-solve the stars, and it is of the appropriate size so that the telescope legs don't hit it as the telescope rotates.
