Moral Purity & Jehovah’s Witness Piety | Self-Righteousness The Jehovah’s Witnesses, despite their corruptions, are widely recognized in society as a morally pure, and clean people. Witnesses are hardly more ethical. But they certainly retain very traditional views toward sexuality, tattoos, body piercings, and cleanliness, which contributes to this image. So much so, that, if anything, they are frequently ridiculed for being hoity-toity, self-righteous, holier-than-thou, judgemental, and unapproachable. In this video, I try to find an explanation for this cultural dynamic in the group. What I discover, is profoundly useful in understanding much of our social interactions.
