Did you know that Sannen-bancha is one of the seven roasted Japanese teas we offer at Yuko Ono Sthlm? This cherished tea is not only caffeine-free but also provides a comforting warmth. There are many ways to brew this wonderful tea, and here I've prepared it in a teapot. It smells fantastic, with delightful notes of nuts. We highly recommend Sannen-bancha, a roasted tea aged for three years from the autumn harvest for any meal and anytime! In Japanese: Sannen=three years, Bancha=autumn harvest Japanese green tea. Brewing Tips from YUKO: 1. In a teapot, measure out 5 g (apporx 2 – 3 teaspoons) of tea. 2. Boil 350 – 400 ml of water, then let it cool to 90 °C. 3. Pour the water into the teapot with the tea. 4. Steep for 30 – 40 seconds for a quick brew, or up to 2 minutes for a deeper flavor. 5. For a second brew, simply use boiling water and steep 30 – 40 seconds.
